About Me

I am a Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual and family counseling with a private practice in Prairieville, Louisiana.

I graduated from LSU with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work. With over 20 years experience and a Louisiana license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are counseling focused on issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, family and relationship difficulties, sexual abuse, and medical conditions.

In addition to being a therapist, I have presented at conferences and trained other professionals in the practice of clinical social work and counseling.

I am an interactive therapist, who utilizes several different therapeutic modalities and approaches to help my clients meet their goals. Each client is unique and the journey to change and healing is different. Most often, we use talk, play, sand tray, bibliotherapy, art, or other means to gain insight, learn new coping strategies, and maintain change. I tend to rely primarily on techniques related to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Supportive Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Somatic Therapy.
